Applications are now open for the Indonesian Government KNB Scholarship 2026! This is a prestigious fully funded scholarship program offered by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia to students from developing countries.
​The Kemitraan Negara Berkembang (KNB) Scholarship aims to nurture future leaders and strengthen the relationship between Indonesia and fellow developing nations. Selected scholars will not only pursue a degree at one of Indonesia's top universities but also immerse themselves in the country's diverse culture and heritage.
​For 2026, the program will select 222 scholars:
- ​30 Bachelor's Degree students
- ​162 Master's Degree students
- ​30 Doctoral (PhD) students

Scholarship Benefits (Fully Funded)
The KNB Scholarship covers all essential costs for the duration of the program:
- Tuition Fees: Full coverage of tuition for the entire degree program.
- Living Allowance: A monthly stipend to cover housing, food, and daily expenses.
- Settlement Allowance: A one-time grant given upon arrival in Indonesia.
- Travel Costs: Round-trip economy class airfare from your home country to Indonesia.
- Health Insurance: Comprehensive health coverage during your stay.
- Research Support: Monthly allowance for research and book materials.
- Language Training: A 1-year Indonesian Language (BIPA) course prior to starting your degree.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must be citizens of a developing country and meet the following age and academic requirements:
- Bachelor’s Applicants: Maximum age 21 years old. Must hold a High School diploma.
- Master’s Applicants: Maximum age 35 years old. Must hold a Bachelor’s degree.
- PhD Applicants: Maximum age 40 years old. Must hold a Master’s degree.
- Language: English proficiency test (TOEFL/IELTS) required for non-English speaking countries (taken within the last 2 years).
- Status: Applicants must not hold a degree at the same level they are applying for.

Prepare the following documents in English or Bahasa Indonesia before applying:
- KNB Offering Letter (Download from website).
- Recommendation Letter from the Indonesian Embassy in your country.
- Recommendation Letter from an employer or immediate supervisor.
- Academic Transcripts and Certificates (Scanned).
- English Proficiency Test Results (if applicable).
- Copy of valid Passport.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- Motivation Letter.

The application process is fully online via the KNB Scholarship website:
- Download the Offering Letter from the official KNB website.
- Obtain a Recommendation Letter from the Indonesian Embassy or Consulate in your country.
- Prepare scanned copies of your Passport, Academic Certificates, Transcripts, and English Proficiency scores.
- Complete the online application form and upload all required documents.
- Wait for the selection results to be announced online.
