Applications are now open for the Australia Awards Scholarships (Africa) 2027 Intake. This is a prestigious, fully funded scholarship offered by the Australian Government to the next generation of global leaders from Africa.
The scholarship aims to provide African professionals with the opportunity to pursue a Master’s Degree at top Australian universities. It is designed to equip scholars with the skills and knowledge to drive change and contribute to the development of their home countries upon their return.
Scholarship Benefits & Value
This is a "whole package" scholarship that offers full financial support:
- Full Tuition Fees: 100% of your Master's degree costs are paid directly to the university.
- Return Air Travel: Economy class flight tickets to Australia and back home.
- Establishment Allowance: A one-off payment on arrival to help with textbooks, rental bond, and home essentials.
- Living Stipend: A generous monthly contribution to cover rent, food, and transport.
- Health Cover: Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the duration of the award.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Australia Awards (Africa), you must:
- Citizenship: Be a citizen of an eligible African country and currently residing there.
- Age Limit: Must be at least 25 years old on 1 February 2027.
- Experience: Have at least 5 years of post-graduate work experience.
- Education: Must already hold a Bachelor’s degree.
- Restrictions: You must NOT already hold a Master’s degree. This is for your first Master’s only.
